The visit to the museum is a fundamental step to know and understand the culture, the traditions and the history of the Mamoiada area.
The traditional attire, an integral part of people's everyday life, was chosen to accompany visitors along the exhibition itinerary, so that they could keep the tangible memory of an archaic society that has only recently changed deeply. Attire changes actually clearly reflect social changes.
The way the men and women from Mamoiada had lived up to the middle of the last century, their social roles and their existence marked by moments of joy and grief, can be ideally observed in the different thematic rooms.
The focus on labor emerges in the big room that is actually dedicated to the main Mamoiada’s jobs. Visitors can also visit the local food and wine businesses and artisans' shops to find out more about the village.
