About us

Founded in 1885 by a famous confectioner of Nuoro, Battista Guiso, the company had already achieved longed for recognition in important international exhibitions (gold medal and Diploma of Honours in Paris, Cannes and Marseilles) and it boasted the House of Savoy (to which it was the official supplier) and the English Royal Family amongst its clients. In 1971 Bonamici family received this legacy, handed down through generations, and still today, it produces these exquisite sweets.

Thin orange peel, slowly cooked in honey (preferably asphodel and lavender) and enriched with fine rods of selected almonds. Its genuine recipe, exclusively made of natural ingredients, and its long, entirely manual production process, have been maintained the same through almost 130 years. This combination guarantees a delicious, sophisticated and unique taste. Its digestive qualities make it an ideal closure for any meal, even though it is a perfect snack anytime extra energy is needed.
